Three teens were seriously injured in a shooting at a party in Everman on Saturday night, police said.

Everman Emergency Services received about 10:20 p.m. multiple calls reporting the shooting at a small event venue in the 1800 block of Everman Parkway, police said.

Officers found two teenagers who were shot at the venue. They were taken to a hospital. A third victim arrived separately at a hospital, police said.

“We are pleased to announce one of the shooting victims has been released from the hospital and the other two are reported in very good condition.,” Police Chief Al Brooks said on Sunday afternoon.

A suspect vehicle was identified, and after a short foot pursuit, several juveniles were detained. Officers also found multiple guns, but no determination had been made Sunday about whether those weapons were involved in the shooting, police said.

The shooting is being investigated with the assistance of the Texas Rangers.

“This is an unfortunate and unnecessary tragedy that is becoming all too common in our society. We ask that you keep the victims in your thoughts and prayers as well as their families and our young community,” emergency services said.
