An older couple in Burleson were found dead in their home Monday afternoon in a murder-suicide, according to a Burleson spokesperson and medical examiner records.

Around 3:30 p.m., a Burleson man called 911 and stated he had killed his wife and intended to take his own life at a residence in the 300 block of Pin Cushion Trail.

Once officers arrived on scene, they made repeated attempts to make contact with the man but were unsuccessful. They made entry into the home at roughly 4:35 p.m. by way of a drone.

Inside, a man and woman were found dead. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the woman as 79-year-old Valerie Feldman. She died from a gunshot wound to the head and her death was a homicide, according to the medical examiner.

The man, 84-year-old Steven Feldman, also died from a gunshot to the head and his death was ruled a suicide, according to the medical examiner.
