A Tarrant County deputy pulled over a car in the 3300 block of Alta Mere Drive on April 14. The deputy called a police dog for assistance after noticing the driver, DeMarcus Rhodes, had “inconsistencies” with his statements and actions, the Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

The police dog alerted the deputies for the presence of illegal drugs in the vehicle, officials said.

Deputies searched the vehicle and found one kilogram of methamphetamine, 144.4 grams of ecstasy and 15.3 grams of cocaine, along with $1,651, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Rhodes was taken into custody and faces charges of manufacturing/delivering controlled substances of more than 400 grams, according to the release.
