A motorcyclist was killed in Grand Prairie on April 25 after crashing into an SUV, police said.

The motorcycle was headed southbound about 10:30 p.m. in the 2600 block of N. Belt Line Road when the rider attempted to turn east onto West Hunter Ferrell Road and hit an SUV, Grand Prairie said in a news release on Monday.

The motorcyclist died at the scene, police said.

Police said the driver of the SUV was not injured and is cooperating with investigators.

The Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the person who died after next of kin have been notified.

The investigation is ongoing, according to police.
