NorthPark Center mall in Dallas has reopened after police determined a bomb threat made Wednesday afternoon wasn’t credible, officials said.

Dallas police said on X about 12:15 p.m. that they were “investigating a security incident” in the 8600 block of North Central Expressway and asked residents to avoid the area.

Police sources told Star-Telegram media partner WFAA-TV that the Department’s Fusion Center received a call from someone who threatened the mall and said they were going to blow everyone up. The mall was evacuated “out of an abundance of caution,” police said in an updated post.

“The DPD Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team searched and cleared the building,” the post reads. “As of 3:10 p.m., the building and surrounding area is secure.”

Police told WFAA that they determined the threat against the mall wasn’t credible.

Mall officials told KXAS-TV that police gave the all clear for the mall to reopen about 3:15 p.m.
