A fourth suspect in the fatal shooting of a 40-year-old Fort Worth woman was arrested Thursday.

Jerry Lira, 18, was booked in the Fort Worth City Jail and then transferred to the Tarrant County Jail. He faces a murder charge in connection with the death of Elizabeth Ann Juarez, according to police records.

Officers responded to the 2500 block of Northwest 24th Street the evening of Nov. 20 after someone reported hearing gunshots. They found Juarez’s body in the front bedroom of a house. Another woman inside the home sustained a gunshot wound to the shin, police said.

Three other teens — 19-year-old Miguel Moran, 19-year-old Obed Torres and 17-year-old Rafael Gallardo — were arrested in January. Both Torres and Gallardo are being held in the Tarrant County Jail on a $300,000 bond, according to court records. Moran has since bonded out.

Juarez’s family said in a GoFundMe that the 40-year-old “brought light everywhere she went.”

“She was the type of woman who would give, even when she didn’t have much to offer,” the fundraiser states. “Helping others was simply who she was.”
