A Parker County probation officer was arrested after he was accused of sending sexually explicit messages to a woman on probation.

Andy Dillard was booked into the Parker County Jail on Jan. 11 and faces a charge of official oppression, according to court records.

The woman began receiving texts from Dillard on Dec. 23. When investigators reviewed Dillard’s phone records, they found the messages sent to the woman were sexually explicit, investigators wrote in an arrest warrant affidavit obtained by Star-Telegram media partner WFAA-TV.

The messages sent by Dillard on Jan. 4 included sexually explicit texts, photos and video, according to the affidavit.

The woman told investigators that she was afraid of not responding to the sexual harassment because Dillard was “in charge of her freedom” and he could potentially revoke her probation, the affidavit states.

According to the affidavit, the woman told investigators that she did not have sexual intercourse with Dillard, but that he repeatedly texted her and would not stop trying to arrange meetings.

She was “afraid and felt harassed by Dillard,” the woman said, according to the affidavit.

Dillard posted a $5,000 bond and was released on Jan. 12, according to jail records.

Dillard is no longer employed with the Parker County Corrections Department, Director Josh Cooper said in a news release sent to the Star-Telegram on Thursday.

Officials are cooperating with law enforcement during this ongoing investigation, Cooper said.

In a separate case this week, a juvenile probation officer in Tarrant County was fired after she was arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old boy at the county’s juvenile detention center.
