A man was shot and injured during a fight at a Fort Worth apartment complex Friday night, police said.

Officers were called to the Primavera Apartments at 2201 E. Berry St. regarding a shooting shortly before 10 p.m. They found a man who had been shot in the torso. According to police, a fight broke out in the common area of the complex, and a man pulled out a gun and fired.

The injured man was taken to a hospital in stable condition, officials said. Dewayne Mason was arrested in connection with the incident. The 25-year-old was booked into the Fort Worth City Jail and faces a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, according to police records.
