Two men were arrested after attempting to rob a man at gunpoint Thursday afternoon, and one of them barricaded himself before being taken into custody, Fort Worth police said.

Officers responded to a call about a person with a weapon about 12:30 p.m. near the 5600 block of Birchman Avenue, police said.

The victim told police that he had been threatened with a gun and had his belongings taken by two men, police said.

One of the suspects barricaded himself for a short time during a SWAT standoff, police said.

The suspects, Devin Castro, 34, and Steven Nikolas Luera-Velasquez, 27, were taken into custody without incident and are facing charges of aggravated robbery. Both also had out-of-town warrants, according to city jail records.
