Two people were injured in a shooting near the Polytechnic Heights neighborhood in east Fort Worth early Sunday, police said.

Police responded to John Peter Smith Hospital, where officers were called about two shooting victims.

Investigators determined that the two people were shot about 2:30 a.m. in the 1900 block of Mitchell Boulevard.

The victims were taken to JPS hospital in a private vehicle, and they are receiving treatment for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

No arrests have been made, police said. Gun Violence Unit detectives are investigating the shooting.
