A man is dead, another person is hospitalized with serious injuries, and a third is being questioned after a domestic violence stabbing Monday in west Fort Worth, police said.

Officers were called to a parking lot in the 2800 block of Thorson Lane, where they found two people had been stabbed.

A man, identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office as 61-year-old Eric Vann Morgan, was pronounced dead on the scene about 6:30 p.m. The second stabbing victim, whose name has not been released, was taken to a hospital in unknown condition, police said in a news release.

Homicide detectives found that Morgan had been involved in an argument and fight with someone when he stabbed that person multiple times. As Morgan was stabbing the victim, the third person who was present stabbed Morgan, police said.

Morgan and the person who stabbed him are related, and the case is being investigated as a domestic homicide, according to the release.

Detectives are interviewing witnesses and the family member who stabbed Morgan to determine all the circumstances, police said. No arrests have been made.
