A 36-year-old man fatally shot himself at a Euless home Friday when deputies with the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office tried to serve him a warrant, officials say.

A 36-year-old man fatally shot himself at a Euless home Friday when deputies with the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office tried to serve him a warrant, officials said.

He was wanted on two felony counts of sexual assault of a child, according to spokesperson for the sheriff’s office. He apparently shot himself before the deputies could enter the house in the 1200 block of Woodridge Circle.

The man’s death has been ruled a suicide, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s website. The Euless Police Department is handling the death investigation, officials said.
