Shooting and fight reported at Gateway Park; Fort Worth police investigating

Fort Worth police investigated a reported shooting Sunday night at Gateway Park.

About 8 p.m., a 911 caller reported that someone was shot and “a lot of people were fighting” at the park near Riverbank Road and Gateway Park Drive, according to a call log. The address of the park is 751 Beach St., in east Fort Worth.

A police spokesperson said that officers confirmed a gun was fired, but they did not find a shooting victim in the park. No suspect in the shooting had been located Sunday night.
