A woman was injured after getting hit in the face with a gun early Tuesday in south Fort Worth, police said.

Officers responded to the 3400 block of Sycamore School Road shortly after 1 a.m. after someone reported a shooting. A man and woman were arguing, according to police, and the man used a gun to strike the woman in the face.

The weapon went off, but the bullet didn’t hit anyone. The woman was treated for minor injuries at the scene and released. Police said the pair knew each other.
