75K pounds of THC seized: North Texas police and DEA search warehouses, homes
Allen police, along with the DEA Dallas field division, executed multiple search warrants in an ongoing investigation of the illegal distribution of consumable THC products in North Texas.
The warrants were carried out at three Dallas warehouses and residences in Colleyville, Carrollton and Plano, according to a statement released by Allen police on Tuesday. Police identified the warehouses as Frontline Wholesale, Cannify Goods and Monster Smoke Wholesale.
Police said they were able to obtain evidence due to undercover officers going to these warehouses and making purchases of illegal THC over several months.
In an email Wednesday morning, Allen police said that 75,000 pounds of consumable THC products, and cash and assets valued at $7 million were seized as a result of the searches.
Police said the investigation is ongoing, and detectives are still investigating where the money from sales of the THC products is being directed.
These new warrants come after an Aug 27, 2024, sting at nine vape shops in Allen. Police said that the products found during those raids had concentrations between 7% and 78%, which are above the legal Texas limit of 0.3%.
