TEXRail train accident seriously injures pedestrian in North Richland Hills
On Monday morning, about 5:45 a.m. the North Richland Hills Fire Department was dispatched to an accident involving a TEXRail train that hit a pedestrian near the North Richland Hills/Smithfield station.
According to the fire department, a female patient was taken to a local trauma center in serious condition.
Fire department officials said in an email that other than the patient’s condition at the scene and at the hospital, they do not have any further information to release at this time.
The train involved in the incident, near Davis Boulevard and Main Street, was moved by TEXRail by 8 a.m. The Trinity Metro train line runs from downtown Fort Worth to DFW International Airport.
In an email, a Trinity Metro spokesperson said there were 42 passengers on board the train. There was no reported damage to the train.
