Five North Texas men arrested on federal child sex abuse charges, officials say
Five North Texas men have been arrested and are facing federal charges related to distribution and possession of child pornography, officials with the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.
The five men were among 205 people arrested nationwide over the course of five days as part of Operation Restore Justice, an initiative that involved all 55 FBI offices, according to a statement.
The Fort Worth Police Department assisted the FBI with the arrest of one suspect, identified as Micheal Huffman, officials said.
When agents went to arrest Huffman, they found him sitting in his driveway with his laptop logged in to a platform he used to view child pornography, according to the statement.
Huffman was charged with distribution of child pornography, officials said. If convicted, he faces between five and 20 years in federal prison.
Jose Lizandro Trevino Rodriguez, of Dallas, was also charged with distribution of child pornography, according to the statement.
Otho Earl London, of Azle, was arrested and charged with possession of child pornography, officials said. If convicted, London faces up to 20 years in federal prison.
Two of the five men arrested were charged with offenses related to child sex trafficking, according to the statement.
Harold Lee Hill of Rockwall was charged with transportation of a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity, officials said. If convicted, Hill faces up to life in federal prison.
Robert Rayel of Benbrook was arrested in Pinellas County, Florida and charged with attempted sexual exploitation, possession of child pornography and receipt of child pornography, according to the statement.
Nationwide, the operation resulted in the rescue of 115 children from sexual abuse, officials said.
