Fort Worth police are searching for a suspect after two women were robbed at gunpoint on a trail in the Tanglewood neighborhood on Monday morning.

The women were walking in the 3800 block of Overton Park Drive about 6 a.m. on April 7 when they were approached by the man, who pointed a gun and demanded the victims’ belongings, police said.

One of the women surrendered her wedding ring, worth an estimated $7,000, and the robber told the victims to leave the area.

The suspect was described as a man about 6 feet tall who had his face covered. He ran away from the trail in a different direction from the victims, police said.

Officers searched the area but did not find a person matching the robber’s description, police said. No arrests have been made as of Tuesday.

Police said no injuries were reported. Robbery detectives are investigating the case.

In a Facebook post, the woman whose ring was stolen asked anyone with information or video from the time of the robbery to contact police. She wrote the robber was wearing all black clothing and a mask.
