1 person killed in southwest Fort Worth shooting, police say

One person was fatally shot in southwest Fort Worth early Saturday, police said.

Officers responded to the 2600 block of Covert Avenue around 3:30 a.m. Saturday, March 22. They found the shooting victim in an alley at that location, police said.

The person died at the scene, according to officials. They will be publicly identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner.

Police said they are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting, and homicide detectives were notified. No arrests have been announced.
