Oncor bucket truck stolen at gunpoint in east Fort Worth; suspect in custody, police say

A 29-year-old man is in jail after being accused of stealing an Oncor bucket truck in a carjacking outside a food mart in east Fort Worth on Monday evening, police said.

Officers responded to 2740 Sandy Lane shortly before 6 p.m. on Monday, March 17. The victim told them that someone had pulled a gun on him and stolen his truck, according to police.

The Oncor electric company truck was later recovered, police said.

No Oncor employees were injured during the carjacking, according to company spokesperson Roxana Rubio.

The carjacking suspect, Jose Aguilar-Arellano, is being held in the Fort Worth City Jail. The 29-year-old faces a charge of aggravated robbery, according to jail records.
