Police investigate shooting that injured 1 in east Fort Worth, officials say
Police are investigating a shooting that injured one man in east Fort Worth on Wednesday, March 5.
Officers responded to the 2800 block of Village Creek Road around 11:40 a.m. after someone reported their son-in-law had been shot, according to the 911 call log.
The injured man was taken to a hospital with a gunshot wound to the hip, police said. He is expected to survive.
The suspect drove away after the shooting. Police said they later found the vehicle, but no arrests have been announced.
The Gang Unit will take over the investigation, according to police.
