Man cut and injured in family violence incident in east Fort Worth, police say

A 28-year-old man was cut and injured Friday night in a family violence incident, Fort Worth police said. A suspect is in custody.

Officers responded to the 5100 block of East Lancaster Avenue around 10 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28. They found a person who had been cut, according to police.

The injured man was taken to a hospital for the treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.

The suspect was apparently injured as well, and was also taken to a hospital. He’s expected to survive, according to police.

Jail records list the suspect as 28-year-old Bilic Hernandez Flores. He faces a charge of aggravated assault against a family member.

Family violence detectives were notified about the incident, police said. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the cutting is ongoing.
