A 20-year-old man was fatally shot by his roommate Saturday night in Arlington, and investigators are searching for the suspect, police said.

A 20-year-old man was fatally shot by his roommate Saturday night in Arlington, and investigators are searching for the suspect, police said.

The homicide happened at an apartment complex in the 7800 block of Salton Drive. Officers responded about 6:50 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15.

A witness told police that the victim was shot by his roommate. The car the suspect left in was later found abandoned, police said in a news release.

The victim was taken to a hospital, where he died Sunday afternoon. He will be identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Police have not released the suspect’s name.

The motive for the killing is under investigation.
