Fort Worth police are asking for the public’s help to find a robber accused of carjacking a man who gave him a ride, according to a post on the department’s social media.

At 5:50 p.m. Jan. 20, the suspect was at the QuikTrip gas station at 4101 Airport Freeway and offered the victim $50 to give him a ride, police said.

The driver took the suspect to the requested address, then learned the suspect did not have the money to pay him, according to the social media post.

The suspect then pointed a knife at the man and demanded his keys while making a stabbing motion, police said.

The suspect stole the victim’s wallet, keys, phone and pickup truck, police said.

The truck is a white 2008 Chevrolet Silverado with a chrome tool box in the bed.

The suspect was described as a tall man with dirty blond hair who was wearing black jeans, a black shirt and a black hoodie, police said. He was carrying a black backpack and a red blanket.

Anyone with information about the suspect or the location of the victim’s vehicle is encouraged to contact Fort Worth police Detective A. Olson at 817-392-4377 and reference report number 250004858.
