Texas troopers’ pursuit of stolen truck ends in Fort Worth with driver’s arrest, DPS says

A man was arrested after a police chase involving a stolen semi truck cab ended in Fort Worth on Wednesday, Jan. 15.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, troopers were notified of a stolen truck tractor in the Garland area.

Troopers found the truck and attempted a traffic stop. The driver refused to stop, and a pursuit began, officials said.

The chase ended on the Chisholm Trail Parkway near McPherson Road after troopers deployed spike strips to disable the truck, DPS said in a news release.

The driver was identified as Jeffery Harris, 28, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma.

Harris was arrested on suspicion of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and booked into the Tarrant County Jail.

There were no injuries or property damage related to the chase, authorities said.
