Fort Worth police ask for public’s help finding driver in fatal hit-and-run crash

Fort Worth police are asking for the public’s help locating the driver who fatally struck a 44-year-old woman and left the scene without rendering aid.

Officers responded to the intersection of Azle Avenue and Ephriham Avenue around 11:50 p.m. on Dec. 6 for a hit-and-run accident. The pedestrian died at the scene, according to police.

The victim has been identified as Sharon Melissa Webster. She died from blunt force injuries, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s website.

Investigators have been working with nearby businesses to gather surveillance video of the accident. They believe the suspect vehicle is a dark four-door sedan, possibly a BMW.
