Teen arrested after fleeing traffic stop, crashing into house, Azle police say

A 17-year-old was arrested after a vehicle pursuit that led to a collision with a house, Azle police said in a social media post.

Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a stolen Nissan Altima in the 900 block of Lake Crest Parkway at 3:48 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 17.

Police said the driver did not stop, which led to a chase.

The driver was identified as 17-year-old Ezekiel Grant.

Grant lost control of the stolen car and crashed into a residence in the 600 block of Lake Crest Parkway, causing significant property damage, police said.

He was the only person in the vehicle, and no injuries were reported from the crash.

Grant was arrested for unauthorized use of vehicle and evading arrest or detention with a vehicle, police said.
