A man who was found shot inside a crashed car on Thanksgiving morning died Monday at a Fort Worth hospital, according to the medical examiner.

Mielek Biniam Geberhiwet, 23, of Dallas, was pronounced dead in the ICU at John Peter Smith Hospital about 12:15 p.m. on Dec. 2.

Fort Worth police said officers found the victim with a gunshot wound to the head when they responded to a report of a crash about 12:15 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 28, in the 2800 block of Miller Avenue.

No arrests have been announced. Homicide detectives were investigating to determine where the gunshot came from, police said.
