North Richland Hills police investigate fatal shooting of man inside his home

North Richland Hills police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened on Wednesday night, Nov. 27.

Police responded shortly before 11 p.m. to the 7300 block of Stonybrooke Drive after receiving multiple calls about gunshots being heard in the area, a police spokesperson said.

When officers arrived at the residence, they found a man who had been struck by gunfire while inside his home.

The victim was transported to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, where he later died. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified him as 52-year-old Brian Cason Pence and ruled his death a homicide.

No arrests have been announced in the case. Police are investigating what led to the shooting, the spokesperson said.
