Police seek help finding car of suspect who killed man in Fort Worth road rage shooting
Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a vehicle believed to belong to a suspect who fatally shot a man after a minor accident on a Fort Worth highway Sunday.
Thirty-year-old Emmanuel Torres was involved in an accident with an unknown person around 2 a.m. at East Loop 820 and U.S. 287. Torres’ wife called 911 and said her husband had been shot by the other driver in a case of road rage, police said.
Torres died from a gunshot wound to the head, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner, and his death has been ruled a homicide.
Police were able to identify the suspect car model through the front bumper, which fell off when the vehicle hit a guard rail during the crash. Anyone with information about a blue Infiniti G35 coupe or sedan with a missing bumper is asked to contact Detective O’Brien at 817-392-4338.
A GoFundMe has been organized for Torres’ family.
“Those who had the privilege of knowing Emmanuel can attest to his joyful spirit, compassion, and unwavering dedication as a father and partner to Jocelyn,” organizer Zurizaday Duron wrote. “Emmanuel touched the lives of many, and his impact will be felt for years to come.”
Torres leaves behind his wife, Jocelyn Gonzalez, and a 2-year-old daughter and 4-year-old son, according to the fundraiser and Torres’ online obituary.
