A Denton-based chiropractor was arrested after two women came forward, reporting they were sexually assaulted by him during appointments, according to police.

A North Texas chiropractor was arrested Thursday following the Denton Police Department’s investigation into the sexual assaults of two patients, police said.

In June 2023, a woman reported to Denton police that the chiropractor, 39-year-old Hector Reyes, sexually assaulted her during an appointment at his business located in the 2500 block of Lillian Miller Parkway, according to a police news release.

Later that month, another woman came forward to authorities, also reporting she was sexually assaulted by Reyes during an appointment, police said.

The cases were presented to a Denton County grand jury on Tuesday, and Reyes was taken into custody by the Denton County Sheriff’s Office at his business. He was indicted on five counts of sexual assault.

He was booked into the Denton County Jail on a $115,000 bond.

The investigation is ongoing. Police said that anyone with information about Reyes, including any unreported incidents, is asked to call Detective David Acrey at 940-349-7993.

Denton County Friends of the Family provides services for those impacted by rape, sexual assault and domestic violence. Its crisis line can be reached by call or text at 940-382-7273.
