A 45-year-old man was fatally stabbed during an argument early Friday on the east side of downtown Fort Worth, police said.

Officers were dispatched to The Huntley apartment complex at 100 Harding St. around 1:40 a.m. They found the man inside an apartment with a stab wound to the lower body. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

Investigators determined that the victim and suspect were involved in a physical and verbal argument outside the residence, police said. The suspect left for a short time but then returned and stabbed the victim at least once.

A suspect has been identified, but no arrests have been announced. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner identified the victim as David Dewayne Christopher.
