Man fatally shot early Friday in argument near convenience store, Fort Worth police say

A man was fatally shot during an argument early Friday, Fort Worth police said.

Officers responded to the shooting scene near a convenience store in the 2900 block of Vaughn Boulevard around 2:30 a.m. They found a man on the ground with gunshot wounds to his upper body. The homicide victim was already dead, according to police.

Investigators learned that the victim and suspect had been arguing. Both of them had handguns when the suspect shot the victim, police said.

Officers found the suspect at a nearby apartment complex, and the suspect is cooperating with the investigation, according to police. No arrests have been made.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the victim.
