Officer-involved shooting in Benbrook under investigation by Texas DPS
The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a Benbrook police officer who was involved in shooting that occurred Wednesday afternoon, according to a news release.
Benbrook police were responding to a welfare check in the 5600 block of Bel-Aire Drive when the shooting took place, the release says.
The DPS did not specify if anyone was injured or details surrounding a suspect.
Police have not yet responded to the Star-Telegram’s request for information.
This is an ongoing investigation.
