1 dead, 1 wounded in shooting and possible robbery at west Fort Worth motel, police say

One victim died and one was hospitalized after a shooting at a motel in west Fort Worth on Monday afternoon, according to Fort Worth police.

Two people were shot and taken to a hospital in critical condition, according to MedStar. One man was pronounced dead at the hospital. The second victim was receiving treatment.

Officers were sent to 7501 Camp Bowie West Blvd., which is the address of the Landmark Lodge motel, around 3:20 p.m.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim who died as Sergio Navarro, 23, of Fort Worth.

Homicide detectives are investigating the case as a possible robbery. No arrests have been made.

The call was originally placed with Fort Worth Fire Department 911 operators, according to a police incident detail report, which includes preliminary information provided to responding officers.
