Police look for suspect who was in stolen truck after shooting at south Fort Worth home
Police are looking for a man who was traveling in a stolen vehicle after they believe he shot another man at a house in south Fort Worth early Wednesday.
The shooting victim went to the house in the 800 block of East Jessamine Street “for the purpose of consuming illegal substances,” police said in a news release.
Investigators believe the shooting suspect arrived at the home in a stolen truck and “a confrontation ensued” between the two men that led to the suspect firing a gun multiple times, wounding the victim, police said.
The gunshot victim went outside and a witness called police, who arrived just before 7 a.m.
In an earlier news release, police said the owner of the stolen Ford truck tracked the vehicle to the house on Jessamine Street. In an update Wednesday afternoon, police clarified that the truck’s owner was not at the shooting scene.
The man who was shot was taken to a hospital in stable condition.
The suspect was at large Wednesday afternoon. No description has been released.
