Man dies from gunshot to head in north Fort Worth; witnesses say 3 people left scene

A man died Saturday night after he was found shot in the head in north Fort Worth, according to police.

A man died Saturday night after he was found shot in the head in north Fort Worth, according to Fort Worth police.

At around 8:15 p.m., police responded to a home in the 2300 block of North Houston Street, west of the Stockyards.

Officers arrived at the scene and confirmed a man had suffered a gunshot wound to the head. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as Julian Rey Torrez, 46.

Witnesses told police that a group of three people left the scene in a vehicle in a hurry right after the gunshot was heard.

There are no suspects in custody at this time.

Homicide detectives are investigating what led to the shooting.
