A suspect has been arrested after two men were shot in the back Sunday night at an apartment complex in far east Fort Worth, according to police records.

Officers responded shortly after 11 p.m. to the Randol Crossing Apartments in the 1400 block of Randol Crossing Lane, a police spokesperson said.

Officers found that the two victims had each been shot once in the back and the shooter had fled the scene, police said. The victims were taken to a hospital and are expected to survive.

A suspect was later taken into custody. Galen Broadnax, 23, of Fort Worth, was booked into the city jail about 4:30 a.m. Monday on suspicion of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to a police report.

Gun violence detectives are investigating the motive for the shooting.
