Shooting victim found critically wounded in car in far southwest Fort Worth, police say

One person was critically injured in a shooting in far southwest Fort Worth on Sunday afternoon, according to Fort Worth police.

About 3:20 p.m., officers were dispatched to 8500 block of Charleston Avenue and found a gunshot victim who had been wounded while inside their vehicle, police said.

The victim, whose age was not released, was taken to a hospital.

No arrests have been announced. Gun violence unit detectives are investigating the motive for the shooting.
