A private tennis coach who worked in north Fort Worth has been arrested on a warrant accusing him of sexual assault of a child, police said.

George Dennis II, 43, was arrested on July 20 by detectives with the Crimes Against Children Unit, according to a Wednesday news release from the Fort Worth Police Department. Dennis has been director of tennis at The Big G Tennis Group since December 2013, according to the company’s website.

Dennis previously worked as an instructor with the NRG Tennis Academy in Grapevine from 2011-2013 and the NRG Tennis Academy in Southlake from 2008-2011, according to his online bio.

Dennis could not immediately be reached for comment. Records do not list an attorney representing Dennis.

Fort Worth police said they are not releasing further details of the allegations “due to the sensitive nature of this investigation.”

Police asked that anyone with information about Dennis or other incidents involving him to call Detective Pellerin with the Crimes Against Children Unit at 682-382-1521.
