Teen injured in east Arlington apartment complex shooting, another teen in custody: police
A teenager was injured in an east Arlington shooting Monday night and another teenager is in custody, police said.
Officers were dispatched to the 2000 block of Craig Hanking Drive around 9:15 p.m. regarding a shooting, officials said. They found a teenager with a gunshot wound.
Police discovered the shooting took place at an apartment complex in the 2000 block of Sherry Street, officials said. The victim then ran to the Hanking Drive location. He was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and released soon after.
Another teenager was taken into custody in connection with the shooting and has been charged with one count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, police said.
Authorities said they won’t publicly identify the suspect because he is a minor.
