A guest at a party at an apartment complex in south Fort Worth on Thursday morning shot the gathering’s host, police said.

After an argument, the guest shot the host multiple times and wounded the man in the upper body, authorities said.

The host was fired upon about 9:15 a.m. in the 3100 block of Westvista Circle at the Creekside Apartments, a Fort Worth police spokesperson said.

The host was taken to a hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening, police said.

The suspect, identified in a police report as 28-year-old Talton Morris, was also taken to a hospital because of a previous and unrelated gunshot wound to his lower back, authorities said. He was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault, according to jail records, and was being held on $30,000 bond.
