Police on Thursday arrested a 29-year-old man on suspicion of capital murder in connection with a killing in February in west Fort Worth.

A man was on Thursday arrested on suspicion of capital murder in connection with a killing in February in west Fort Worth that police alleged occurred about a month before the same suspect is accused of shooting to death two people in Denton.

Silvester Williams, 29, was booked in the shooting death of Jakavious Meeks, 20, according to a Fort Worth police record.

Meeks died on Feb. 26 in a shopping center parking lot in the 6900 block of Ridgmar Meadow Road.

Police did not say if there were other suspects in the case, describe a motive or release the affidavit supporting an arrest warrant.

Police on April 3 arrested Williams on suspicion of capital murder in connection with a double homicide in March in Denton.

Williams was indicted on June 23 on that offense in the killings of Breanna Dunn and Ronald Calvert Jr., who were shot in the head as the victims sat in a vehicle at an apartment complex in the 1300 block of Dallas Drive, authorities said.

Dunn, 29, and Calvert, 43, were slain on March 23.

Denton police did not publicly describe what they allege motivated the killings, but said that evidence showed that Williams and Calvert knew one another.

Williams was arrested in Lewisville. The capital murder offense in the Denton homicides applies because authorities allege that Williams caused the death of multiple people during the same criminal act.
