Dallas police have arrested a 20-year-old in connection with a shooting that killed one man and injured another in north Oak Cliff earlier this month, officials said.

Police arrested Luke Guerra on Thursday on charge of murder.

The shooting took place in the 800 block of South Tyler Street the night of May 8, officials said. The two victims were taken to a hospital in a private vehicle for treatment, but Steven Mendoza, 20, died from his injuries. The other victim, a 21-year-old man, was in stable condition.

Guerra is being held in the Dallas County Jail, according to police.
