A Dallas County Sheriff’s Office inmate who escaped Wednesday afternoon is back in custody, the sheriff’s department announced.
The Garland Police Department received a call about a person at a bus stop acting “erratic,” according to the sheriff’s department. When police arrived, they determined it was the escapee, Carlos Duarte, and he was placed under arrest at around 7 p.m.
He has been charged with escape while arrested/confined.
