A man was shot dead early Monday at an apartment building in east Fort Worth, police said.

The victim was shot in the upper body about 3:30 a.m. at Meadowbrook Apartments in the 5700 block of Meadowbrook Drive. He was fired upon during a large fight among men and women, Fort Worth police said.

Police did not announce an arrest.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as Roderick Jones, 36, of Fort Worth, who was pronounced dead at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds.
