Grapevine police are looking for the driver who shot a woman in a road rage incident Friday morning during rush hour, officials said.

A 27-year-old woman was entering State Highway 121 from Bass Pro Drive around 7:15 a.m. when she and another driver were involved in a road rage incident, police said in a social media post.

The driver fired a small pistol at her, and police said the bullet went through her neck. The other driver left the scene, but the woman was able to pull over to the shoulder and stop.

The woman’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, according to police, and paramedics transported her to a local hospital.

Police described the suspected shooter as a white man with brown hair. His vehicle was a dark gray, newer-model Mazda CX9 SUV.

Detectives are trying to find out the suspect vehicle’s license plate number and other identifying information from surveillance videos. Anyone who has information about the shooting is asked to contact the Grapevine Police Department at 817-410-3900.
