A 34-year-old man on Saturday shot a relative at a residence in North Richland Hills, police said.

The victim, a man who is 31, was shot about 8:30 p.m. in the 8000 block of Harwood Road, North Richland Hills police said. He suffered injuries that are not life-threatening and was taken to a hospital, police said.

Police did not release the precise relationship between the suspect and victim or describe the shooting’s motive. The men had a dispute, authorities said.

Police, who said they took the suspect into custody, declined to release his name before he is arraigned.
