19-year-old seriously injured in knife fight with robbers in Fort Worth, authorities say
A man is in serious condition after he was stabbed during a robbery in Fort Worth on Wednesday morning, authorities said.
A Fort Worth police spokesperson said the robbery was possibly related to a deal over a small amount of marijuana. Investigators believe that two attackers got the victim in the back seat of theri car and there was a knife fight between the three.
Officers responded to a 911 call in a residential neighborhood in the 7500 block of Kings Trail, in southwest Fort Worth, around 9:40 a.m. The caller said they were approached by a 19-year-old man who had been stabbed in the back.
The victim was transported to a hospital, and according to a spokesperson for MedStar was in serious but not critical condition as of 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Police said the two suspects showed up at a hospital on their own, also with knife wounds.
It is not clear exactly where the stabbing took place.
No arrests had been announced as of Wednesday afternoon.
