Fort Worth police respond to traffic accident, find man in critical condition from gunshot

A 48-year-old man was in critical condition Friday after being found shot on East Vickery Boulevard in east Fort Worth during a traffic accident call, authorities said.

Details surrounding the incident are still being investigated, Fort Worth police said.

Police responded to a car crash just before 3 a.m. Friday in the 3200 block of East Vickery.

A caller reported that an accident had occurred between a red sedan and an unknown object, according to a police log.

When they arrived, officers found the 48-year-old man with a gunshot wound.

Police did not release any information on how the man had been wounded. No arrests have been announced.

Traffic and gun violence detectives were notified about the incident.
